    • The following list contains keyboard shortcuts to take a screenshot and save the screenshot as a file on your computer.

    • Choose the instructions based on your operating system.

    Solution

    Windows

    Windows + PrtScn (the entire screen) - The screenshot will be saved in the Pictures library, under Screenshots.


    If you want to take a screenshot of part of the screen and save it as a file on the hard drive, use the Windows Snipping Tool.


    ChromeOS


    For a partial screenshot:

    Step 1: Hold down the “Ctrl” and “Shift” keys at once, then press the “switch window” button.

    Step 2: Chrome's cursor will be temporarily replaced with a crosshair. Click and drag a square across the portion of the screen you want to save, then release the trackpad or mouse button.


    The screenshot will be saved to your 'Downloads' folder.


    MacOS

    • Command + Shift + 3 (the entire screen)

    • Command + Shift + 4 (part of the screen)

    The screenshot will be saved to your desktop
